The Design:
The Calin Beanie by Brooknit Bonneterie is a warm hug for your head. A folded ribbed brim provides stretch and warmth. Cables and twists add texture and thickness through the body.
The stretchy one-size design fits head circumferences from about 20 to 24 inches (50 to 60 cm). Add a pompom if you would like a playful finishing touch.
Why "Calin"?
Calin means hug in French.
Knit the beanie in the round. Work the ribbed brim with one strand on the smaller needles, fold it, then continue the body and crown with two strands on the larger needles. The project is relatively quick but requires focused counting and precision through its textured sections.
The digital pattern includes written instructions and QR-linked video support. When using a different yarn, follow the pattern guidance and adjust as needed.
