The Design:
The Headband Progressive Kit by Brooknit Bonneterie is the perfect path for those eager to learn.
Headbands are ideal starter projects. In a few hours, you can practice and master the stitches. As you finish the item, you will feel a boost of satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment.
With one 4oz cake of yarn you can knit up to 4 different headbands in adult size (~20-23in / 51-58 cm head circumference).
You can follow the learner path, start with the easiest, and introduce something new as you knit the next one.
If you already know the basics, you can pick and choose and knit only your favorites. With 4 textures and 3 closing methods, you have 12 potential designs at your fingertips.
Wear them proudly or gift them to your loved ones. They lightly warm your ears and head and are very practical to keep in your pocket or your bag.
The softness of Merino wool makes it ideal for keeping the chills at bay.
The Process:
They are all knitted flat, and you can easily size them: simply stop knitting and bind off when you reach the desired length.
Four main designs are explained, both in writing and through video tutorials accessible via a QR code.
The easiest is in garter stitch.
The second introduces the stockinette stitch.
The third one will make your needles dance and create a ribbed one.
The final one will teach you the secrets of cables.
We also explain three types of closures: flat, button, and twist.
